DEWALT 60V Cordless String Trimmer with Battery & Charger Included

I use this for one job more than anything else: cutting the edges off the grass along the driveway, walkway, and fence line. That is where a cordless trimmer earns its keep for me. It saves me from dragging out a cord, and it gets the yard to look finished without turning the whole thing into a long afternoon.
What I like most is that it has enough power for edging work without feeling fussy. I can move along the borders, clean up the rough spots, and get a neat line before the grass gets out of hand. The 17-inch path helps me cover ground faster than a smaller trimmer would, and the battery setup makes it easy to grab and go when I only have a little time.
This is the kind of trimmer I would point to if you want something for routine yard touch-ups instead of a big landscape job. If your main goal is to keep the edges looking sharp, it makes sense. I also like that it is attachment capable, because that gives it a little more room to grow with the kind of work you need to do around the yard.
The one thing I would note is that it is not the lightest tool to swing around for a long stretch. It is manageable, but after a while you feel that it has some weight to it. For short edging sessions, that does not bother me much. For a bigger property, I would want to take a break or split the work up.
I keep mine ready for the quick pass after the grass starts getting sloppy at the edges. That is really where it fits into my routine. It is not the tool I would choose for every yard task, but for cutting the edges off the grass, it does what I want and gets me back inside without a bunch of fuss.
If that is the kind of work you need done, this is a solid fit. It feels like a practical tool for somebody who wants clean edges and does not want to think too hard about the process. That is enough for me to recommend it on its own merits, and it is the reason I reach for it when the lawn starts looking unfinished
